Asalamu Alaikum everyone

Jazakallah khair for the donations so far! We’ve managed to raise $198.40 in cash donations for the abaya that I am making. All of that money and then some has been spent to cover the shipping and fabric costs for the first 7 abaya. However, we have, that I know of, 2 more abaya to send out. We are going to need a total of roughly 65.00 in cash donations (paypal takes a fee for each donation) in order to get these last two sisters covered.

All of these items are to be shipped no later than Saturday July, 14th to be sure that they are delivered by Ramadan. Please donate what you can so we can make sure that everyone who requested one of my abaya are covered.

Even if you fall into sin again, make sincere tawbah, and continue repenting until one day, by the will of Allah, you are able to desist from committing that sin again.

Exactly, because everyone’s imaan is like yours and we all are the same so it won’t affect us just like it doesn’t affect you. Right? Oh right. Then I guess it would not affect a new Muslims who’s new in Islam and all. Meh.

The thing is, it shouldn’t affect you. I don’t mean this in any rude or harsh way, but Islam is submission to Allah alone. If you let what others say affect your decision to be Muslim or not, then you are submitting to them.

And in reality if it does affect you for whatever reason, then stop talking to them. I know how hard it is to be alone, I really do, but is being alone worse than the Hellfire?

This is your life. This is whether you go to heaven or hell. This is the most important thing there is. Don’t let others affect it.

So now I ask, are we perfect?
The majority of Muslims will say no to this.

So what gives us the right to add things into the religion that were not there previously?
Admittedly Islam is perfect and we are not.
So what needs to be added?

Did our Creator “forget” to add a detail or two?? Did our Prophet sal allahu alehi wa salam fail to spread the message efficiently?
Astagfiruallah.

What could an imperfect human being such as ourselves have to possibly add to an already perfect and complete religion?

We need to understand:
We don’t make the religion, we follow it.
That’s how this works.

Since I have had some messages come in within the last month about people wanting to follow the correct aqeedah, I decided it was time to make a little post about all of this.

First of all, you don’t have to know everything there is to know about the manhaj in order to call yourself Salafi. There have been so many people say, ‘oh I’m not knowledgeable enough to call myself Salafi but I believe this to be the most correct way to follow Islam’ and things like that. That’s all well and good, in fact, that’s great. It’s a great step in the right direction but it can’t stop there. If you truly want to follow the correct aqeedah and take a firm stance against innovations and deviance in the religion, then you need to come right out and say it: ‘I am SALAFEE and I take back everything I have ever said against salafis and their manhaj’. Simple as that. That’s how you’re going to let people know you mean business. Of course what matters to Allah is more important than what matters to any of us but when we error publicly, we need to come back on it publicly. This is the sunnah. So it isn’t enough to privately message me or any other salafi on tumblr and privately admit that you were wrong and want to now get back to the true Islam. Like I said, that’s a great step in the right direction but it cannot stop there.

When I came to Islam, I came to Islam upon the correct aqeedah. I didn’t know everything, let’s be honest, I prayed once without my hijab on because I didn’t think I had to pray with it on! lol. And my mistakes didn’t end there. Wallahi there was so much I did not know but I was attracted to the pure and true Islam and that’s all I craved was Islam, Islam, Islam, in it’s purest form. As I grew older as Muslim, like most Muslims, I fell into certain innovations and deviance. It happens. And while I never made it a point to go out of my way and curse the salafis, I did not understand it so I jumped on with what everyone else was saying and for a moment there, I believed they were “extremists” and I made ONE really negative post about salafis being like the taliban. It was the first, and Alhamdulillah, the only post I had to go and delete and come back on after I started publicly saying I was salafi.

So you see, this has to be said. It has to be said out loud, said out proud. If you have posted things negatively about this manhaj or have said things nasty, publicly, about salafis, you need to come back on it to clear yourself from your wrongdoings. Allah will be pleased with this action as it will create more harmony among your brothers and sisters. For a lot of Muslims on this site, this site IS their community because they are young and/or far removed from Muslim communities. So if you want to get on with the salafis on the internet and strengthen bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood, you have to come back on these things so we can trust you. This isn’t some cool kid club. We just want to know you are serious and aren’t just saying one thing to us and another thing, to what I consider to be, the cool crowd on tumblr. Do you all understand now? Good. I hope so.
